Beautiful Akemi Kurosawa comes from a long line of Kompiran assassins.  Her grandfather was the man responsible for killing Marcus Regis the Chamberlain who preceded Tiberius Llyr.  Initially opposed to the idea of taking up the family trade, Akemi had dreams of following in the footsteps of the great Trojanu Sato and serving Kompira as its Consul.  This all changed when she returned home from the local market to find her family removed to the Hulks by the local Magistrate who had developed suspicions regarding the activities of the Kurosawa clan.  Though not guilty of any crimes herself,  Akemi was marked as an assassin - a large A was tattooed above her right eye and she was shunned by her all who saw it.

A deep hatred of authority was born and this intensified as years of poverty followed her family's incarceration.  Akemi eventually left Kompira and established herself as one of the most effective assassins of her time.
