Annika Hagen was not a typical Sessymirian.  Her personality was characterised by a subtlety often found lacking in her race.  Annika was an incredibly canny woman, quiet in manner, but resolute in her convictions.  Her sharp intellect and her personable nature made her an easy choice for a public relations position within the company that ran the Strom Mir mine in Nilfheim.  Public relations to the Company was basically anything that brought in contracts for the Cold they mined and Annika Hagen managed to secure a deal with the merchant's guild in Pelinore that brought in an extraordinary amount of money.

Annika was eventually posted in Pelinore to look after the contract.  It was here she met Caliban Grayson who was captivated by her beauty.  Annika was slighter than most Sessymirian females and possessed a delicacy of speech and manner that was unexpected in a women of the north.
