As long as there have been Ghaddar, Azazel has existed.  He is the oldest member of his people and much loved by generations.  Azazel was one of the Ghaddar who helped the Myrrans first incarcerate the Ghul and the Cabal thousands of years ago.  During that time, he has learnt much but this has not been enough to safeguard his people whose numbers have diminished greatly as a result of Ghul persecution.
