Bannick Landen performs the role of Consul for the frozen land of Arnaksak. Long before his appointment to this prestigious position, he was regarded as Arnaksak's greatest warrior and one of the Myr's greatest heroes.

It was not uncommon for disputes between the Arnakki and the Sessymirians.  Although the Sessymrians were usually the agressors in these disputes, they were rarely the victors. Bannick patrolled his country's borders like a marrok stalking its prey and the Sessymrians quickly learnt that if Bannick Landen was near, retreat would be the most prudent action. Bannick's ferocity on the battlefield, his skill with most weapons and his uncanny strategic mind made him the most formidable of foes. And yet, in a social situation, it would be difficult to find someone as affable and easy-going. In fact, some claim Bannick is too easy-going and this will lead to his undoing. Bannick is something of a rogue and a womaniser (despite having a devoted wife and two young children). There are even rumours that he was seeing the Lord Chamberlain's wife before she disappeared.

Alongside Pylos Castalia, Trojanu Sato and nine other valiant men and women, Bannick was a member of the Cessair Guard, an elite group of warriors who were sent into crisis situations whenever they flared up around the Myr (which was becoming increasingly uncommon under Chamberlain Llyr firm and fair rule).
