Barga

The barga is a docile creature that can often be found rolling about in the mud of river banks and lakes.  Notable for their bright, blue skin, the barga can be easily spotted upon the grassy grey plains of Scoriath, or the green hills of Tuatha, so it covers itself in mud to be less conspicuous.  It is one of the largest land animals to walk the Myr, and one of the most peaceful, but it is also considered to be one of the enjoyable to eat.  Roast barga has become a staple in the diets of many Myrrans, and it is common to find one roasting outside taverns as a means to draw in customers.

During winter, the barga will grow a thick coarse coat of wool, and the smell of this coat when it becomes wet provides a distinct contrast to the smell of the beast when it is cooking upon a spit.  Occasionally used a a beast of burden, bargas can be found throughout the Myr.  They were one of the first animals to be bred upon farms, however, it is a commonly held belief that the meat of a wild barga tastes much better to one raised upon a farm.
