Bellycans can be found throughout the Myr but they can be found in large numbers on the Arion Ocean where they are kept well fed by the arrowfish of these waters.

The bellycan is an odd looking creature, having little in common with most other birds.  It has a beak, but it is so small it can hardly be seen on its large round head.  The bellycan's body resembles the spherical shape of its head but is considerably larger.  This belly can grow up to five times its size when filled with enough food.  The bellycan has a large pouch across its belly, at this pouch can be extended to catch food such as the suicidal arrowfish.  The pouch is more like a mouth as it connects directly to the bird's stomach, however, the bellycan can choose whether its stomach digests food or just stores it to be consumed by other family members.
