Standing at over two hundred feet tall, the bogcrab is the Myr's largest land creature.  Despite their colossal size, the bogcrabs are fairly timid creatures, scared of one another and most other animals in the swamp.  They have allowed themselves to be domesticated which is a fortuitous development for the apothecaries of Mag Mel who use the crabs to travel out to areas of the swamp that would be otherwise inaccessible.

The bogcrab's exoskeleton is purple and made of two-foot thick chitin that is impenetrable.  The people of Shysie use the shells of deceased bogcrabs as houses  and these are large enough to accomodate all but the largest family. 

Bogcrabs are steered by bogcrab riders, men such as Joshuu Fisher who was the Mayor of Marshmead's personal rider for almost twenty years.  Even with the most talented pilot at the reigns, the bogcrab's movements across the swamps is ungainly.
