Caquikki

Caquikki is the name given to the six-legged people who live on the island of Caquix which is located in the Tamtu Ocean, south of Ankara.  Over millennia, the Caquikki have carved out a reputation as being the Myr's intellectuals.  They are well-versed in a wide range of artistic and scientific pursuits and have spent many years gathering up information which they house in grand libraries in Caquix City.

Some regard the Caquikki as arrogant and aloof, saying they are much better at collecting information than they are with sharing it, but the Caquikki have always argued that anyone many travel to their island and peruse the books they have written.  Chief among their critics are the Spriggans who regard the Caquikki as insular and self-serving.

Whilst the Caquikki do have representation in the Assembly of Nations, currently in the form of Ambassador Lokota Fall and his son and consul, Tawhawki, as a race they tend to keep to themselves, delving into the sciences and the arts with the purposefulness of zealots.

Physically, they are an impressive species, standing over eight-foot tall.  Their torsos are much like that of the bipedal races of the Myr, but their bodies more closeley resemble that of a snorse.  This equine aspect is continued right down to their long tails that they use frequently to keep popflies away.  The Caquikki tend to dress in embroidered silks, and expensive ornaments frequently decorate their upper halves, a reminder perhaps that despite their beast-like bodies, the Caquikki hold themselves to be the Myr's most progressive, civilised people.
