Frigs can be found throughout the Myr.  They are a small, bulbous creature, notable for having a single eye in the middle of its belly.  The frig has no head to speak of, nor does it have arms.  It does have two incredibly powerful legs which can shoot the creature out of the rivers and ponds its inhabits to the leafy canopies high above where it lays its eggs.

The frig is closely related to the friggu, resembling it in everything but colour, taste and physiology.  Whereas the female friggu's electrically-charged blood is capable of causing paralysis with any predator foolhardy enough to bite into the creature, more common frig has no such talent.  Most frigs are yellow in colour, although the frigs of the Wort River on the border of Morae and Scoriath have a shiny skin which shines with a golden lustre.  These particular frigs can jump higher than any other and the story goes that when the world was young the Wort River frig, envious of the sun's glow above, jumped high into the sky and stole some of the its shining light.
