The Kheperans are known for their stubborn dispositions and brusque manner towards outsiders but this is somewhat unfair to the Kheperans living in El Silat who are generally gregarious, humble and polite. Whilst these residents of El Khadir are occasionally given to displays of arrogance and inflexibility, it is really the nomadic Kheperans of the deserts who have given the nation's people a bad name abroad.
One thing common to all Kheperans is their fearsome appearance. Standing at eight feet tall, Kheperans tower over most Myrran races, and that's not counting the horn that grows from their foreheads. The horn, found only on the males, can grow up to two feet long and is often used as a formidable weapon in battles and the melees Kheperans find themselves embroiled in all too regularly.
The Kheperans have a proud culture with an oral history that is as rich as one can find in the Myr. They were one of the first races to employ writing in their communications. They invented paper crafted from the reeds that grow on the shores of Lake Erras.
Despite the fact that most Kheperan settlements cling to the lake, they are surprisingly uncomfortable around water, preferring the security of the sands to the waves.
