Caliban's End

Kolpia

Kolpia is a sanctuary of sorts, a place where few Myrrans ever go and this has protected its people and species from war, progress and other disruptive elements.  Kolpia exists exactly as it has for thousands of years.  The main reason for this is the tall ring of mountains that surrounds Kolpia.  Although there are a few paths over the Kolpian Circle, hardly any Myrrans know of them.  The only recognisable path is the road from the citadel of Grisandole and as the Morgai have all but abandoned Grisandole, the road is a lonely deserted track overgrown with weeds.

Kolpia is a cornucopia of wildlife not found elsewhere in the Myr.  Of its species, only the magnificent staggorn and a few species of birds can be found elsewhere in the Myr.  Other creatures such as the mockworm, the sysifin, the flummox and the tumblethorn give Kolpia a truly unique character.

Kolpia is also inhabited by a tribe of people who live on a hill the Morgai once called Hurucan.  The people, generically called Kolpians by other Myrrans though they have no name for themselves, have lived peacefully of the land with little more than a sharp tools to show for thousands of years of civilisation.
