Mockworms are the giant nematodes that inhabit the great bowl of Kolpia.  Mockworms are huge, some of them growing to over a thousand yards long and a hundred yard wide.  However, it is not just the mockworm's size that distinguishes it from other animals that inhabit the Myr - it is its ability to camouflage itself.  The mockworm can control its pigmentation to such a fine degree, that Kolpians have stood beside a worm and been unaware of its presence.

The mockworm is an incredibly timid creature and will disguise itself to avoid contact with all other creatures.  Unfortunately, its size prohibits the worm from ever being far away from other creatures so it lives its life in a permanently agitated state.

The mockworm is a photosynthete, eating nothing but sunshine.  For such a large animal, the worm has a remarkably slight impact upon the world around it.
